    I have a speed bleeder installed which only lets fluid out, not air into the slave.

    Just tried it again. Not enough clutch release for me to take it off the jack stands. Looks like the transmission will have to come out.

    Update, dropped the transmission and took out the clutch. measured the height of the clutch fingers off the flywheel got 2.5 inches. Tr8 standard configuration is supposed to be 2.25 inches. Ordered a Centerforce clutch unit from Woody and ready to install. Centerforce finger height is right around 2.25 inches, should work.

    All installed and bled and (drum roll please!) ...a working clutch. Yay!! Took the car for a run down the block and it appears to be working. When I started it after the clutch install, about the second time the gas cable stuck and it revved to the peg on the tach, quickly shut off the ignition. Didn't think the engine could rev that high!!! Holy crap, that was lucky, no grenade action...
