    Hi Phil,

I've got my mounting all sorted out, been using the seats for a couple of months (with the old upholstery). Just got my new covers today, can't wait to get time to install them.

    Keep cool!

Thanks, Paul, and you are welcome. It helped my motivation to have someone to collaborate with!

Are you guys modifying the Miata seat brackets to mount to the TR8 floor or modifying the TR8 brackets to mount to the Miata seats?

    Thanks John

Really neither. We are using the Miata brackets, and using an intermediate plate to adapt between. Basically, the adapter plates bolt to the original mounting points, and have captive studs (bolts) that line up with the holes in the Miata tracks.

My initial attempt was to mount the TR8 tracks to the Miata seat, but because of the way the adjuster handle works, I would have had to space them away from the Miata seat an extra inch or so.

    Hello gentleman,

I see that you noted that the receiver is attached to the miata seat...... what about the anchor for the seat belt. Is that attached to the seat also like the Triumph is or is it attached to the body?

    Thanks, John

    Hi John,

It attaches to the seat as well, using the same kind of bracket we made for the receiver.

    Thanks Darrell,

Not that big of a deal. I was just wondering if certain years had it on the seat for when I go shopping for a pair to eliminate one more step.

It's been several years since your post....... are you guys still happy with the conversion & the quality of the upholstery?

    John
